  A complete rip off!
  
  After multiple appointments with this dentist where I have had to pay there 'standard'(but exorbitant) fees, I had to come in again today because my last operation did not solve my problem.
  
  My husband finished work early so that he could look after the kids whilst I went to my appointment. Anyway, I go into the dentist for a root canal treatment which I was led to believe would be done by the same dentist and what I was booked in for. When I get there, I was told that they really recommend I see a specialist. I asked why couldn't it be done here and they said that it could but they recommend I should see the specialist as they have 'better equipment'.
  So after complaining as to why I was told to come in the first place, I am then told that they need to send a referral to the specialist and it would cost me $25.50 for them to send.
  Again I complain about this fee stating it is a 'rip off' and am simply told by the receptionist that it is 'standard practice' and 'I am entitled to my own opinion'. Well here you go, I am sharing my own opinion here based on my experience with them.
  Why waste my time coming in when they could have said this over the phone.
  In total I paid this much over multiple treatments which still havent solved my problem.
  $70 for the initial consultation (which I didnt really need because I came there knowing the issue I had from my previous dentist (before i moved interstate)) - (I also asked the dentists opinion on my daughters teeth that I had concerns about and after a quick look and being told there wasnt anything to worry about yet, I was charged an additional $70)
  $235 replacing a filling (which didnt solve the problem)
  $263 for partially grinding my tooth down to hold the crack which the dentist assumed the pain was from. (which still didnt solve my problem!). And it took a week to recover from the pain of the operation even though I was told it would only take a couple of days.
  There was another check in the middle in between these appointments where the dentist tried to adjust the filling (which obviously didnt work!)
  $25.50 for the referral to a different practice.
  In total I have been there 5 times and am still left needing more visits to a dentist which will no doubt cost even more.
  So they haven't solved my problem, they're not taking responsibility for it and by handing me off to another dentist and paying over $500 for an unsolved problem, I do believe these fees are excessive. I will be complaining to the practice manager as well as the Smile association they belong to. Im tired of being ripped off and will make a stand against it!
  
  Simply go elsewhere!
